Your Ultimate Food On-The-Go Guide (Pasalubong and Food Trucks)

Your one day of exploring Bataan is not enough to fully immerse yourself in the culture and lifestyle of Bataenos, but we will help you maximize your stay here in the province with some suggestions on where to buy your pasalubongs and perfect food spots that you will surely love.

Food On-The-Go in Bataan

Food carts have made significant progress in the food industry. It’s not just about selling coffee or cooking something cheap and fast. These mobile diners now offer a variety of unique Bataan flavors that you should try.

The trend is increasing for burgers, rice meals, shawarma, and desserts, so here are two food trucks/carts that caught our taste buds:

Eat and Roll Food Truck

Craving for something meaty and tasty? That’s definitely how Eat and Roll serves their meal. The business started opening to the public last February 2021 with a DIY truck. Yes, you guessed it! They make sure to do everything to make it consumer-friendly.

You’ll definitely find this food truck a haven, when you’re into chicken katsu, sausages, burgers, and meats. Big serving, great food quality at an affordable price. You know something is special when everything is made from scratch–homemade sauce and patties, mayo, cheese sauce, etc.

You never want to miss a food truck like this. Aside from their specialties, they also offer nachos, wings, fries, and chips.

Among their best-sellers, Meat Lovers Sausage Sandwich is the one that you should try. It’s a Hungarian sausage wrapped in bacon, chili con carne, and cheese sauce perfect for all meat lovers as the name suggests.

Katsu in a burger? That’s Eat and Roll’s Chicken Katsu Burger. A chicken fillet burger with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, caramelized onions, bacon, sliced cheese, and their own barbecue sauce.

To complete the meal, why not add some Loaded Fries to your meal? Fries topped with cheese sauce, barbecue sauce, and bacon bits to balance off the flavor. Who doesn’t want to be in the “Fry Club” anyways?

What’s perfect here is that they’re located in a park. Talk about convenience, food trips, and relaxation. Visit Eat and Roll Food Truck Page to know more about their menus and specialties.

Hungry Rian

Are you a “budgetarian”? Looking for some OG flavor with a ‘street-style’ theme? Hungry Rian is the food for you! The owner of the food truck previously supported neighborhood shops by doing some reviews and experimenting with food and flavors as a hobby. The food business started catering to people within the community and making them feel at home.

Hungry Rian’s specialty is street-style pares and homemade dumplings which was the ultimate starting point for Rian Macob, the owner. The food business offers quality, flavorful pares specialties at an affordable price.

The owner revealed that Street Style Beef Pares is their top-gun specialty. This best-selling pares is boiled meat and bones to get the softness and perfect texture of the beef. Just like what we’ve heard, “pinakuluan…hanggang maubusan ng gasul.”

Some may argue that Sisig shouldn’t have mayonnaise on it. Contrary to the belief, Hungry Rian’s Signature Sisig will make you love mayonnaise on sisig more. Tried and tested by the customers, “kahit ayaw mo…eh magugustuhan mo.” You’ll never say no to Sisig with mayo again.

You should also try Hungry Rian’s Street Style Steak which is very similar to USDA-grade beef. As exquisite as it may sound, the owner only used local beef, but still has the juiciness and flavor to it.

What makes Hungry Rian Special? “Yung puso sa pagluluto,” the owner said. It’s all about the love for food, community, and people. We hear your hunger! Visit Hungry Rian’s Page to know more about their specialty.
